Most beatless isn't really my bag but try some of the Brian Eno classics - stuff like 'Thursday Afternoon' and 'Ascent (an Ending)'. He was one of the guys who first started all this kinda music.
You could also try 'Waiting for Cousteau' by Jean Michel Jarre.
Used to love that track... especially the last few minutes! Amazing!
Not beatless but title-wise...

I do it with the new Sennheiser ultra-small CX 200 in-ear monitors (ear buds). They are comfortable enough not to stick out, and let you sleep with them in and your head on the side. I use a Shure volume headphone jack attenuator so I can set the volume mirco-low - much lower than the "1" setting on my Creative Zen.
These days for falling asleep I have been listening to:
Patrick Bernard - Sonic Feng Shui (new age)
and the new Ishqvara CD |

Amazing album! finally somthing diffrent and refreshing!
i can try and define it somhow as ambient-techno, but its probably dosent make justice to the album...so just listen, its a must have.
