for the past few years, i have not bothered to seek out any new psytrance artists/albums because i think trance is better when its fresh and you've never heard it before. i put on philosomatika radio, or go out to a party and its all this bangin trance music that sounds so new, unfamiliar, and mysterious to me...its great!
however, i'm moving to a country with, according to the internet, no trance scene (ireland) and I might be without internet radio for a while. could anyone recommend to me an album that is on the same level of ass-kickery as astrix's "artcore?" (please, no need to make fun of my love for anthemy full-on in this thread) I'd like to have a little stash of sweet trance to take with me amongst my vast and amazing collection of chillout.
i hate to take away the mystery of psytrance, but i'd rather know the good shit than hear nothing at all.

Thanks for checking us out. I know you have an..."exclusive", taste in music, so coming from you it means a lot mate.
Peace out.

i recommend anything from the Distance to Goa compilation series - also the first two dragonfly compilations are still relevant and any compilation from Blue room is always excellent
return to the source - the chakra journey - is great and includes a beautiful ambient CD too
i personally love Hallucinogen, infected mushroom, Juno Reactor (older stuff), Koxbox, and anything from PSY HARMONICS (Australian Label)
how to get all this? it's easy and it's free. Just download the u-torrent freeware and then go to www.nowtorrent.com
fill in the search box with whatever your heart wishes for - find it and download
hope this was helpful to you |

and if you don't have the Safi Brothers albums then please download them - excellent chillout
music
Lucky People Center - Interspecies Communication is a classic gem
sorry - but i prefer the early 90's to what is being produced these days - it's so much more original and so much less mainstream
and Ireland does have rave parties - and if you don't find any then why not start your own! |
