since I got my payment i've been thinking what should i spend it on. i decided that i want to buy something that will help me to listen (& create) music better. at first i wanted headphones , but i need an amplifier or a mixer in order to use them with my PC. so that option is no longer exists. now i need your help, what should i buy, any good speakers (i cant afford buying monitors , 5000 and more is way too much for me), any one is selling anything?!
PS
my budget is about 1500NIS max

my computer is fine, maybe i will add some more RAM later, but that is not the subject. first i need to get some kind of speakers, the ones i had now are broken so i cant hear shit (i use the shitty sony headphones from my MD, and old computer speakers [the shitty small ones])...
are these Alesis any good, i know there are some really good equipment experts here, please help me if you can
thanks
PS
i need to hear what i make first before i'll buy decent sound card, for now SB Live will be enough

You will need monitors man to hear it well - and you know it.
search this forum for monitors, and you'll find lots of them - just buy the cheap ones if you don't have money. I would've spent more on monitors.
search for second hand in www.act.co.il

you dont understand my problem.
i cant listen to the sounds from my computer, i dont have my old shitty speakers, the only thing i do have is my shitty MD headphones, but i dont want to ruin my ears. im not trying to build a studio, i just want to get an advice from you about what should i buy , i need to listen to what i make somehow (or not?!). my computer is fine, i will add some RAM to it but it is not the issue, i need the machines which make the sound....
i will buy a soundcard but first i need to hear what comes out from my PC, that was my point..so what will you advice me fellows?
PS
1.6Ghz
256SDRAM
not too shitty, its enough for what i make currently

Yo, i think that cheapest monitors
u can get for this price can be:
Yamaha-NS10 or Alesis-StudioMonitor .
Search them second-hand . . .
btw, your computer is just fine ,
nobody needs the latest "2002" computer
