I need to back up all my settings, files,drivers etc... so when shit hits the fan which it did and im recovering at the moment 
yep the old reinstall everything shit!!!
what applications can you recomend and ur experience with em would be of great help to me and to everyone who wants to avoid the whole week back to status method, i think ive heard of ghost norton??? any recommendations from fellow musicians! thanks peace |

this tool can create pairs of folders that will be in sync (meaning that'll be equal). if you have an external HD this is perfect has i have all my projects in my laptop HD and once a week or so i run sync toy and it creates a copy of my project folder in my external HD (well it's the same as copy paste but much quicker since it won't touch the files that weren't updated). it's simple, free and small.

Yeah backup, tell me.. Two weeks u say, Im prepareing for it for abouth a month.. Still got a bunch of dvds to burn.. And I need to re up it quickly as I can..
I have acronis true image, but I wont use it.. Same to norton ghost backup tool..
I will just record dvds with everything neccesary, backup projects and stuff that doesnt need to be on dvd to my second hard and reinstall the whole thing.. I minimized windows installation time using n-lite, so I have one click windows installation with all settings I preffer.. Well to do that it took 5 hours for tweaking but u need to do it only once..
Next thing I plan to do after install is to make one more enlighted windows but I wanna fit it on a double-layer dvd with every thing I will ever need for music production...
Problem is Im not sure will windows boot from double layer or normal DVD.. Anybody got some data about it?
