The ability to make eq adjustments on the track playing over the soundsystem, but only affecting the headphones out channel.
Right now I don't really know of a better way to describe it.
But is there a mixer with this function?

how about putting an EQ inbetween the mixer and the headphones?

Well the problem is I want to make EQ adjustments on 2 mixer channel at the same time.
So that's not going to work, because that way, you affect both signals by this seperate EQ. |

not if you connect dual mono instead of stereo (on stereo eq)

It's still a pain.
Why don't they just build a second EQ in mixers?
Now you can never tell if the outcome is going to sound good, because you can't pre-tweak just to listen how it would sound, if you would turn down the bass on the track which is already playing over the speakers.
Sure, there isn't a mixer with this option I'm describing? |

My mixer has selectable inputs on each channel. So, I can actually apply the same input to multiple output channels. With this arrangement, you could run the source thru a 2nd mixer channel, EQ & monitor that channel, while the 1st channel is playing un-EQ'd.
If you have several output channels, it's also fun to play around with cross-fading different EQ settings of the same source.
