I am looking at bringing down some fresh psy acts for 2004. This year we have had Infected, Astrix, Bamboo Forest, Shpongle etc... They are all awsome acts in their own right. What I am looking for is a Live act who has produced their own CD or been on compilations. If anyone could help me, throw up some names so I can DownLoad some demos to hear. Dont hesitate to contact me. joshzayon@hotmail.com |

What's wrong with your local talent.. you have such great artists down under, why not use some of them? |

Nothing at all, what Im looking for is acts to bring to Australia and organise tours around the country as much as I can. It is very difficult as Sydney and Melbourne are the only places where Psy-Trance is big, although there are some other citys starting to get into it. So my intention is to broaden the psy scene down here, bring out acts never seen before as well as show them how we aussies go off. |

If you want to give a unique view of the dancefloor, I'd suggest bringing in some German DJs like Krumelur and Buddha Source, who I've heard and enjoyed dancing to very much (Krumelur with his no-mercy digging at night and Buddha Source with his deeper-than-deep progressive in the morning), and both are not very well known outside of Germany. Segment is another act that I haven't heard much about other than their great music, Tranan would be a refreshing thing as well, and of course, the Japanese acts rarely give shows outside of Japan but have some high quality acts (Charm should be one hell of an act at night) and flight tickets would cost considerably less than from most other places. Tromesa Live is also excellent, and Necton should be potentially a blast (even though I haven't seen Necton in action). Triptych is also someone I'd love to see in action (and he definately does his own thing in his music).
Pixel&Domestic give very energetic full-on DJ sets with a very Israeli feel to them (and I mean this in a very good way), I haven't heard Gula K in a while, but she used to pack some punch as well. BLT's DJ sets and live acts are also very fun to stomp to, and keep on improving with time as he keeps sounding more free and flowing in sound every time I hear him. Blanka is a hot new name, but I can't say I've heard him playing.
Of course, you could just go with the noisy full-on wave, but that's not going to sound very fresh on the dancefloor (well, at least notin Israel when psychotic micro plays 2 parties a week and azax syndrome is not far behind).
