Heck yeah!
-Try using a HP filter on the lead completely open, and then start twisting it at 2:50;
-The sound is a noise-type sound, so anything with a nice timbre will contrast greatly.. try using some bells for example;
-You could get some super saw, fatten it up a bunch (by delaying one side somewhere from 10ms to 40ms)and use a BP filter to just make it swipe across the mix, one note but long rhythm (you have a really fast rhythm and a slower one can help contrast too);
-You could forget about contrast, synthesize a similar lead from another synth (hopefully more powerful) and play the same line on the other synth (not both at same time, but switching from one synth to another);
-You could feed 1 beat of that synth line to a tape delay unit, take the rest of the synth line out, put the feedback on the delay at 100% and have it set to 1/4bar, then you could automate the delay time to 1 ms until the next bar-> the lead will pitch up and up and up going from a lead to a raise;
-Stutter edit on that synth line -> can turn it into something else
-Bounce it to audio, slice the hell out of the sample and make new rhythms;
But no matter what, do your own thing. Think beforehand what you want to do and make the synths and DAW do it. You're a DAW wizard, you make magic, so use your imagination!
