I´ve got my hands on a syntherziser from my friend but i didnt get the name of it :( so please everyone any advice at all, and i would appreciate it very much!

Yeah, i recommend fruity loops too. Just make sure you get the 3rd version, 'cause the previous versions were kinda limited.
If you consider making music more seriously, then you should definitely get a synth. Nordlead, virus or supernova are great options (Pretty costly ones, though).
Anyway, what's the name of your friend's synth?

well, about reason, it's a nice proggy, but that's all it is: NICE.
You cannot get good synth sounds (it doesn't matter how much you tweak it, the sounds simply don't sound fat enough:-() and you can't use external FX & plugins.
On the bright side, it's really fun to work with, you know, all these emulated devices :-).

cubase vst is the most proffesional of all accesible software sequensers. and u should all start working with it no matter what u use now.
and btw - reason works great with cubase (using rewire option).

GuyShanti is right, but the thing is, in order to use reason together with cubase you will need a strong computer and a good sound card, or everything will work slowly, and then crash.

BTW - Is cubase more professional then Logic, or is it a subject for a new thread?

In my opinion and in many more opinions around the world - Logic Audio is far better than Cubase.

but then - these opinions based on some facts - I used little Cubase and more Logic Audio.

but as for the topic, switching from FTII as I did a very long time ago - the best choice is fruity. it's still a tracker'like but then it uses sequenicing engines and other pro'like functions. Actually u can make really good tracks with Fruityloops if you have the inspiration as you tell us...
enjoy.
