omnisphere not really for bass, but if u also got trilian or trilogy i love just loading simple waveforms like tb,sh, or juno 60. env knob around middle, some glide, usually filter 1 or 3, touch of res, tweak cutoff to taste ,actually used all three waveforms on this new one :

there's a problem with your kick on that track m8...dunno if it's suppose to be like that. Every 4th kick in every bar of 2-3mins, looks like there's a bass note overlapped

sorry, but why is that? it has lots of great waveforms for bass + a synth engine. it has retrigger option. it has filters, mod envelopes, and fx. everything you need to create great bass

Omnisphere has more than enough tools to make a great bass, however it is a bit tricky to get a 'standard' psytrance bass out of it if you're coming to it from, say, Sylenth1.
Also, just to clear things up - Omnisphere can use all of the samples that Trilian/Trilogy has, and IMO some of the best samples for psytrance bass patches come out of the Trilian Library.
That being said, one of the things that you really need to pay attention to when creating a psytrance bass patch in omnisphere is the Key Tracking of the filter. Depending on the filter type you select the key tracking will need to be in different positions in order to get the best bass tone out of it.
Also, the default is that the Filter Envelope is set to 100% velocity sensitive (dial in lower right of envelope) which is usually far too much for my purposes.
Also, don't forget the Velocity Curve in the upper right - and the Analog/Phase controls in the Main window for precise tweaking against your kick drum.
I like the LPF Power 24db filter for bass. I also like the MS-20, Arp2600 and SH101 samples (though I think some or all of those are from the Trilian library) most of the time instead of the DSP oscillators for bass.
Omni is very capable of making standard psytrance bass and far beyond if you get to know it well.

Why not make your own instead of asking for other people's bassline? Who knows, with the right bit of patience and dedication your baseline might be nicer than the fools who gave one to you for nothing...

aye. you'll learn a lot more following instructions on how to build a patch or figuring it out yourself then just loading up a patch from someone.

yeah, there's Mini Moog samples on the ESX24 to, tried it the other day - very warm indeed. but Moog has always been famous for it's bass sound eheh. don't even have omni installed at the moment, so I can't try that.
So just a fast heads up. You guys are saying the samples on omni are better then the ones on trillian, right? and the panning: is it some patch or the recorded waves that are panned? (kind of weird...) cheers

I don't notice any difference in quality when switching between the Trillian library and the Omnisphere library or the Bob Moog Tribute libary...but then again I'm running them all through Omnisphere with the latest update which has a lot more filter types available than Trillian/Trilogy.
btw makus what is the exact name of the minimoog sample that you're talking about?
I loaded up omni and tried out a bunch of moog samples and they were indeed panned a bit..but then I initialized the Multi and tried the same samples and they were perfect. strange.

re-loaded omni a couple times, couldn't get the panning issue to come back. tried all moog samples in every library and the only ones doing anything stereo are the 'stereo' samples...

I was using MiniMoog Saw, loaded as sound source into the init patch. Can't check now, will see a bit later.
