In cases like yours, i always suggest the same soundcard, which i was using for two years and i was recording with it as well.
The Tascam US-122L is the updated model from the one i had. It retails all over Europe for around 139 euros, it's USB, it installs in 30 seconds and it never fails, at least in my personal experience and all of the people that bought it after i suggested it.

I remember that you mentioned it many times in the past. But it doesn't make any sense at all. Have you confirmed that by other users with different PC configurations?
It works with all the other DAWs but not with FL. That's very strange indeed. Maybe it's FL that fails miserably.
Just a thought anyway......
M-Audio soundcards were known to have great issues with their drivers. I don't know if things are changed now.

yes juli@ is ok, but for 300 euro ã definetely can get something better. I wouldn't suggest M-Audio, because my own experience with... hmm... 5 different products of them (2 midi-keyboards and 3 different soundcards: fw 410, fast track pro usb, and audiophile 2496 pci) was very bad. Midi keyboards were broken, soundcards just worked bad and unstable (it's drivers issue i think).

Echo Audiofire 2 looks very tempting, with a very tempting price too.
I hope it works with FL though

Loool..tascam us 122..forget about all that stuff and m-audio whatever..get echo audiofire 4....next further step in drivers and converters view is rme fireface 400..for 879€
no joke..but do what you want..
echo are people who just make interfaces..not like esi where interfaces are just a small part of the whole thing..they got 128x oversampling and symmetrical in/outs and really good converters..you could also look for a <Tc electronics connect 8 or 24(with dsp) they are as good as..but inbetween there is nothing comparible from site..

None taken mate. I just believe that opinions can always be expressed in a more delicate way.
Deranger, you can disable the on-board sound chip from the BIOS.
And also another USB alternative could be the Emu 0404. But i still prefer the Audiofire 2.
