Hello everybody in the world.!
I introduce me i'm 6ryl (cyril) a french dj for the moment now i want to produce and with my friend we decide to make a studio so we bought to make this the apple g5 an audio card digidesign digi002 the new logic audio6 with synths and plugs and for chrismas i buy the new clavia nordmodular g2 (!!!!!)
Now i want to know if we are operationnal to work??????
i hope a profesionnal can help me because i think we can start making tracks

You already have all u need:)
(have u got reference monitors?)
And also, think carefully before buying the NordModular, modular synthesis is a very complex thing, not the best recomendation for a beginer producer I would say...

Agree with Fluo, NordMod is nothing for beginning, definitly not.
About the Digi002..
You should be a professional your self to use this properly.
You know that Digidesign is ment to use with Protools?
Protools is the professional recording soloution, logic is used primarly as a midi sequencer together with it.
I would never recommend protools for beginners, logic can do all you need for Psytrance and more.
Or cubase.
The good thing with your digi002 is that you will have the plugins running on the DSPs of the Digi002, which will safe CPU power, but you have to get the prof "TDM" plugins to have this advantage.
Do you have the rack version or the console version of the digi002?
Instead of spending the money for the digi02, i had bought a cheaper soundcard and good monitors.
Why did you choose the digidesign?

i suggest u try to make some music before u spand all that money ....try making for few month maybe youll not enjoy it and then u lose money....and about the equipment i dont think that u need all this fancy equipment buy a goood good good goood monitors a strong comp(u have it)thats it u can have an amazing sound even with the simplest sound card
the album
cosma - simplicity
was written with creative live soundcard and a pair of monitors.....so i think u should think seriusly about the monitor issu rather then modulars and sound cards

What a great forum here we bought the rackversion of the digi002 because we got the one in our pc and when we changed the dealer (a good friend) make a very good price he masterised some grat album and dvd's for french it's a comic jmarie bigard he took the sound of the room bercy 17000peoples you can ear a fly what fuck i want this and depalmas again a french singer
after the nordmodular because i know it's the best synth because we can make everything with like a guy said he can prog the synth now i have to learn a lot of things
now i know what i got to do wait for my modularg2 christmas present
a big peace to fluosamsara and limbic thk you again nectarios but i think my friend can help me with protools when i opoened it it's more easy than cubase so i hope we can make great songs now we are ready

u have a killer studio:
a mac + protools, nord modular, logic etc.
but u NEEEEED monitors:
without them it will be VERY difficult to work on your sound. not "[loud]speakers" or others, not home theater speakers - u need
Flat-studio-near-hearing-reference-monitors.

For the monitors (for me english it's a little bit hard, i think you speak about screen=monitor in french) but its dynaudio i know it's excellent and i found 2 b&w but if the b&w are bad i'm going to make for the moment only with the dynaudio but after if it's work good for us maybe new dynaudio system 5.1 i listen it's excellent but for the moment my bank it's not ok!!!!
