it depends a bit for what purpose you need the sampler. if you're looking for a not-too-fancy sampler to play your drums/percussion through, have a look at discoDSP highlife. it's nice, really, and it's free.

guru or directwave. all of 'em wont kill too much cpu and easy to learn... half hours u are already organizin ur own sampler library and doin ur own default options.
IMO 3 time better than those SO BEAUTIFUL interface like kontact. that weights in ur cpu but do the same. |
