Hi!
I'm proud to present : dark pulse, my first serious psytrance project. Already 4 tracks to download on vitaminic.
I need your advice, cause I'm only a beginner! so don't hesitate, any advice, comments feedbacks are welcome!!

Nice build up/intro...
Reviewing will listening..at 32k on dial up 
but what im hereing so far is good. Nice variety good layers. All a bit meshed at this bit rate though..Some gliches not sure if there intentional or encoding. Nice breaks and builds. Theres alot going on all the time allmost to much. Could do with some more minimal parts that are more dynamic so when it comes back in it comes in loud and really hits you. This is only my opinion of course. Love the break at 4:40 and what comes in after is the best part of the track. This is pretty full on all the way aint it. Would like to here this at hi quality cause you cant really get the best out of 32k. At uni it will be better as i have broad band there so i can check out peoples tracks in good quality.
Over all i like it you certainly have talent.
Ive got some tracks on acid planet. I have my own thread. So any comments would be apreciated:)

Ok i spent the time downloading the mp3. Sounds alot better. Its good but a little to fast for me. Reminds me of latter space tribe but i havent heard many of his tracks any way. Like i said ealrier i recon the break at 4:40 would be alot more effective if you lowered the volume and made the hole track a bit more dynamic. I really really hate the glitches the digital hiss. I really hope this aint intentional. If it isnt wtf didnt you check before posting it. You know that logic bomb track with the gliches aint intentional it was just a bad master they didnt check (wasnt it????)
But seriously this shit is bad its the same high pitched hiss that blew my tweaters the other day when a plug in fucked up grrrrrr.
With out those gliches it would be a great track. THough to be honest im not to keen on the reverb snare and the metronome type sound.
Love the percusion at the start though. |

Your Mental Chaos is a beauty. I can't comment on the technical side 'cause my good headphones went bye bye, but musically, it's really beautiful and rather mind-boggling. That's definately something i'd like to dance to somewhere remoted.

that wind instrument is also very sick

the glitches are due to the encoding, and mastering, as the version available on vitaminic is a demo, it has been corrected since!
for the reverb SD : some like it others don't, I spent a lot of time finding that perticular sound!!
for the dynamic, I'll work on it for the final version of the track.
the didgeridoo samples were recorded by me, I have a cheap one and with some little effect it sounds pretty good!
as for the gear I use : I have a groovebox MC-303, but I don't use it much any more, exept for the sequencer, the arpegiator, and for the hithats, I've just bought a Korg MS2000 and all the synth sounds come of it, with almost no effects except delay. I also have a korg M3R expander a friend give me, it has nice pad and realistic sounds like guitar or flute. I arrange the trax with acid and plenty of effects plugins.

Well thats cool then. Sorry if i went off the rails about it. Just it was a similar sound that blew my speakers:(
About the snare your right some people like it some dont. You cant please every one musicaly. I really am quite fusy to music i actually like. Theres a lot of psy trance that i really dont like.
Thats cool that you recorded that dige.So are the drums at the start loops. Or did you arange them yourself? |

the drums are a sample I took from a "dead can dance" song, I can't remember the tittle nor the album...
dead can dance is great inspiration for psytrance! so is underworld!
