get loops if your lazy...

otherwise just get started and play around man.

its a lot easier to make a track and ask "what wasnt very good about that tune? what did i struggle with? what did i find difficult?" than it is just to sit here and ask "how to begin?"           http://www.dartrecordings.co.uk/

Btw since u have cubase/nuendo, I'd recommend u get NI Battery, cos i think its the easiest and most powerful drum sampler out there... if u buy it u get shitloads of quality drum hits too. Then u can program ur own drumloops.

Get some other synths and fx (there are tons of threads on which are best, search) too.

If u have synths, samplers + fx u can always make your own stuff from scratch.... Or add a lot more life and usage to the samples u download. Just downloading and arranging some loops is not very original, samples are fine but u have to make them your own somehow so get some plugins and just have fun, mess around, get a feel for things.           http://www.dartrecordings.co.uk/

ok, u said not download loops, make ur own. if i'm not wrong, loops made of samples? are there programs that can make this? (loops from samples?) or i should just put sample by sample into the track?

is there a way, create samples? i guess not if u don't have some musical instruments... and that drum machine u talked about, there somes plug-in maybe that can do the same job?

prog for drum loops = Bio Drummer
get some equipment - making house is something that requires very good sound knowledge , and good equipment and..... - man believe me making house is a more difficult task that making psy-trance or full on

NI-Battery, NI-Kompakt, etc... HALion 2.0 and other VSTIs will do the same job?

battery, kompakt, halion... they're all software samples. they do the same basic job, in that they play back samples given midi input. they're not exactly identical tho. battery is very much intended for drum beats. halion is mostly about multisampled instruments. kontakt is great for really fucking your samples up

i wasnt saying u should make your own samples. obviously u need samples to use with a sampler. drum hits are fair game...they're like basic building blocks. some loops are like this too but most loops on samples cds that i hear are just too complex and busy to really suit a tune, so personally i think it helps to have a few vst fx to mess the loops around a bit, make 'em fit better.

make sense?           http://www.dartrecordings.co.uk/

okay... now i would like to know, what's the difference between Cubase and Nuendo, they look and work pretty much the same, still, what's the difference? what should i use?

here's what i'm gonna do for a start, use Battery for drum, Kompakt for sampling, it works good with cubase and my midi keyboard, sound forge 7 for audio editing...

and i'll get lot's samples from battry and kompakt. how's that sounds? is there anything else i could need?

Since music is not only about drum loops, you should get yourself some VSTi's.
Triangle 2 is a great freeware one. Get it from www.rgcaudio.com
