Playing with loops in ableton live I throwed a focusrite reverb VST to a loop I was playing and my mac froze, the spinning beach ball appeared, then I did a reboot and a question mark appeared, my mac was dead. I took it to service and they told me if was a hard disk failure. Now check this, it was a 1 month old MacBookpro 13"...so it was brand new!! BTW I was using a Focusrite Saffite 6 usb audio interface also.
Now my Apple dealer says it will replace the hard disk using the warranty but I want to know if any of you know of a similar case or if i should ask to replace the hard disk with a better more sturdier hard drive brand??

My best guess would be it was faulty from factory. I've had my macbook 13" for a year now and it's been on bumpy rides and shaky gigs and it still runs smooth. But thanks for sharing
