.........it roooooooooxxxxxxxxxxxx
The machine is amazing!!!!!
what a deepness, clearness in the sound, the pads i listened from it are still in my mind after many days ... resampling, weird knobs, complex programming ... yeah .. its not a regular synth at all ... but what a sound!!!
Anyone has any comment to that monster?

Woow, this seems incredibly cool! Soundgeneration based on neural networks... Maybe finally a way of casting off the old subtractive synthesis-shackles. I couldn't find the demos though...?
I think this could be the most interresting thing that happened for electronic music for a loooong while

Yes, but with that price (£3300) you can buy three other synths (for example nord modular g2, korg ms2000, virus c). If you are rich though, go for it. |

It also has surround capabilities, but I guess £3300 is quite excesive... |

I don't remeber what the link is, but google on Hartman Neuron - it'll take you where you want to go
I don't find "but with that price (£3300) you can buy three other synths" particularly relevant, sorry. If you have V/A and Modular synths in your setup, then what good is three more gonna do ya'? Nuttin'.
The Hartmann synthesizes sound in a completely different way => completely different sounds. That can't be replaced by a Virus G if that existed.
But UIU, you are ever so right - it is a *very* spicey price

Hell yeah I am going to get one of these, it is expensive because it is so fing good.
We talk about using the same presets and the music sounding the same, forget that, we are all using the same synths.
I am not even seriously considering trying to make a track untill I have some serious sonic arsenal at my disposal and I know how to use it.
My wish list.
1. If the new macs are twin 2.6ghz I will get one of these first but if they are 2.4 I think I will wait until the end of the year for the 3ghz version. The 877mhz laptop just ain't cuttin' it now.
2. The sonic tool of tools a Kyma Capybara combo, that is going to be a fun day.
3. The Neuron
if I was so lucky
4. Kurzweil KSP8
5. one of those $4k Manley valve compressors
and on and on |

46. Is Neuron's engine based on custom DSP chips?
Neuron's DSP engine is based on proprietary technology that runs on a 32bit floating-point processor clocked at an incredible 1.2 GHz. Since its sound engine is very computationally intense, the hardware requirements are very high. |

yea, with that synth you mainly pay for the programming, not the hardware
as well as it sounds much like a wavestation, or a morpheus, as well as i'm sure you can get any of the sounds created on the neuron with other means. I don't think it does anything that sounds good enough to pay that much $ for... |

i realy liked the kinds of transformations i heared in the demo's but there was a lot of aliassing in there., i figure it works better on less comple sources but it's a shame it's so limited.,., i wait for the 3 gigaherz version |
