Hi
I would appriciate if someone could help me with a problem i have.
Both Cubase SX and Nuendo 2 works for him, it works absolutely fine until i try to export a downmix.. When i try that, i get a error-message..: "A serious problem has occured: Please try to save your song under a another name, and then restart Nuendo 2.please contact steinberg..bla bla bla.."
I try to save under another name, but its not working...
I also have this error-message when i open a new project in nuendo 2: "Samplerate could not be set. This may be due to the sampleclock being set to external sync."
Anyone have a clue how i can fix this?
plz mail: id_setfan@msn.com

tried reinstalling ???
uninstall and clean registry , resart the computer and then reinstall cubase sx and nuendo ???
y do u need both softwares at the same time ???
dont both do the same job ??
if it still dosent work , try installing the software on ur frnds computer and ckh it if that problem still occurs ....
if the problem occours , ur setup file is fucked , get a new cubase setup.exe ...
if the problem dosent occour , ur windows is fucked ??
format drive , reinstall windows and then cubase and i think ur problem should be solved |

not sure about the first problem... but for the second :
1) what is the sample rate of the project you are trying to open? Quite possibly your sound card does not support this sample rate... otherwise :
2) open the control panel applet for your soundcard... I have a delta 66 and it is possible for me to lock the sample rate in that applet. If I do then I get the same message as you if I open a file with different sample rate.
3) do you have any other audio apps open that may have locked the sample rate?

the second message comes from the ASIO panel
depends on whether you are using ASIO DirectX or ASIO Multimedia driver.
in search for an answer... |

Setfan - Well , For your first question.. I'll put it simple..
You are using a "Cracked" version of Nuendo 2 & SX2 ..
Infact it's not really cracked.. It's a version of Cubase that steinberg intentionally released with that mixdown problem...
Infact i'm so positive- I bet the release group named on the cubase package is - H2o ...
Let me know .. It'll be interesting ..
Good luck.

Can it be something with the soundcard..?
I have a Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 Live!. A friend told me that it probably was thr problem..
Cause is doesnt have ASIO-drivers..
what do u think?? |

I think the answer to "which should i have" is probably "Steinberg's release"
Not that I'm trying to judge, but really, I always tell myself that whilst I'm using not-purchased software I cannot possible complain about bugs!
Also an SB Live! is rubbish for production, largely (but not only) because, like you say, it doesnt have ASIO drivers.
