after reading the idea of Yuli about top 10 sections i wanna add something that may be best for forum.
Since today i read top 10 by B-bass who is well known SKAZI - and what i saw are six tracks from ten are his tracks or his remixes - kinda - IT IS NOT PROMOTION SECTION - where are moderators??
Audiotec top 10 got 2 of his self tracks,as it did time-lock.
Bog writes his and sesto sento and what released on his label.(not all tracks but part of it..)
Molecular post his tracks his friend doopler tracks and yulis ones.
Intersys has 3 of his tracks in top 10.
and so on............
these are very little example(only of artists as you saw).
the top 10 section is flooded by self promoting and it is not good - coz no point of it.
maybe it is ok for this forum and these scene that artists promote their tracks on top10 - top 10 they like - kinda the best trakcs the artist heard for that month - cant believe that skazi like only his tracks - like he posted in top 10.
i think something should be done with this - but maybe its ok and i am wrong.

interesting topic.. the problem is when mod use they power for self promo as i said on http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/36172/forum/18 .
and then comes another question that a mod done to me.. do you have someone that would be good in all the ways to be a mood of your country?
and that person have time or want to do it?
now what you think? its hard to.. being a mod that have to control others mods that he dont even know.. how do you get that trust.. to choose someone that you dont know or even talk...
should we vote? and the problems that comes with that..
what do you think of this? |

Whats the problem with someone liking his own music or his own label releases?
I mean if he didnt like it he wouldnt create/release them anyway right?

then what do you think should be done? you have a problem with the top10 section, lovely, now suggest a solution.
mods may come and mods may go, start appreciating those ppl my friends cause they all spend a lot of time helping us and you make this a nicer place. You might disagree with them, you might not like them, but please give them respect for the hard and unpopular job they do.

karnaf and detox - you two good mods and i appreciate your work but.... dont start to play smartasses.
i think tops like skazi ones -with six tracks out of his favourite 10 - IT IS SELF PROMOTION - and mr DETOX dont tell me if he like or if he not , and all the beautiful things u say about man liking his music or music on his label- I am not negative- we both know that , so lets not start with these things - you can tell me u dont agree with me u dont need to tell me i am negative or smt
These top 10 should be closed or moved to promotional section - there is promotional section where promotion is main idea - why you made the promotion section?---do i not understand something??!!
and MODS - dont take it personally , i am only talking about smt wrong - its not i am blaming mods- dont get me wrong

So what? Let him self-promote him-self. As you can see it can work either of two ways ... or you will love him more for his great top, or he will start losing points in your score for him. If I'd been concerned I'd reply him him asking what he is trying to do and see what is his reaction, if at all !!!

If the guy's self-esteem is so high, it is his problem, and no need to judge him. Have you tried mentioning it to him ??? To tell you more, I won't move it to promotional even it was 10/10 of his creations. The content will talk itself ...

u dont get me - ppl(artists) promote themselves in section where promotion is not alowed by guidelines - but if you dont care me too

Dude, that's why I asked you to read between the lines ... I havn't told you are not right, cause you ARE right ... We do care for what you think and of course we do care for the forum. But we are trying to give you another point of view ... some posts are still not moved or deleted cause we want them to be there, but not to promote, but to show the real person behind the post. If his self esteem is so high, so he is ready to embarass himself posting so self-loving TOP10, let it be ... and as I've already wrote if you are really concerned reply to his Top10 thread and express your concern.
If it is closed for ya, then it is closed for me too

we all care and its good that you brought your opinion to the team's attention.
i think that Barmalei is trying to show you another way to look at the picture.
i must agree with you that some artists and lables are doing that to promote themselfs but its your call to like it or not...
you are right, it is self promoting but isnt it good for users to know the kind of music the artists represents? or djs? or even the users themselfs?
understand, we all care...
if it wasnt like that then why even bothering and 'reply'?
