it is all the state of mind and the choices you made for yourself ...
the smell of bbq usually is associated with other places and venues
so if it's bothering you don't go there

I dont eat meat very often but i really dont like the "Hot-Dog" greasy stand in the festivals...that smell is awufull. I think the org should set an example to what kind of food they want in their events. Its more like a clash between Football match food Vs. aware food. On the other hand i cannot say anything if my neighbour wishes to grill some ribs near my tent...its is right.
One thing is to eat meat the other is to support the industry that mass-produces animals in slaughter/concentration camps...Stuff like the chicken farms of KFC. Its time to say no to that sort of things.
The psy-festivals and parties should demarcate themselves from this culture and really show that there is an alternative way of existing as a human-being...This is part of the psyculture for me

how come its always the vegetarians who have a big problem with meat , never hear of non veg ppl complaining about your beansprouts and carrots ! u talk of open mindedness , then be open minded .. let others be .. its a BBQ , not your dog they grilling ..
