the rocces itself is not fun unless everything is flowing and all sounds like u imagined.....thats realy gets me in to uphoria!!! hahah
but sometimes its frustrating but i know i will be happy in the end thats keeps me goiing
bet let s put it that way its the most "unfun" thing i can do i prefer not having fun while doing this other then not having fun with something i dont love

you all forget one thing ....
u can make the most killer baseline ever created , but it's sound only great when it's playing along with kick ... when u add other parts suddenly it's disapearing ... been there b 4 ?
the most imporant thing with bases & almost every part is how does it fit to your mix !
how does it sound in the big picture . |

this is part of the mix process...
my bassline never disapeere ! it must be in front of the other things along with the kick and the other drums... |

What are you annoyed at anyway? The sound of the notes, or the actual notes themselves? I suppose it all depends on what you focus on.
I usually get my ideas straight away, or not at all. whether I'm using single note 1/16 basslines, just to keep the low frequencies supporting the melody, or more complex lines with crazy rhythms, i'm more spontaneous. I think all people are different in the creation process.. hehe ;D |
