One of the things that made me move from flstudio is weird automation procedure.
I loved flstudio a lot because of its "dark" interface,I don't know why but it is so fun to work on that GUI,more then Ableton or Cubase uninspiring GUI.But the automation is nightmare compared to Ableton.
I don't know how it is in flstudio 10,but in 9 you had automation on separate piano roll. How do hell you supposed to do automation if you can't see the midi notes??
Also, instead of showing the automation curve below the channel, like in any other DAW,you have to go to the menu ,and click stuff there to see if there is automation on specific channel. And if you have more then 50 channels,it's a nightmare.
From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

points of view. i find it amuzing to work on fl because of the way i customized it, it looks like a forest when i open fl, the automation thing, well, every daw has its weaknesses. and the midi notes thing, print screen it

The automation on a separate piano roll is actually the "Edit events" window. This is basically only useful if you're recording automation with a controller.
The list of stuff you can automate is big, but if you click on the knob in the plugin, the parameter will automatically be selected in the list. Then right-click, create automation, voila! |
