i been thinking of putting a nice aquarium in my stduio, i got two concerns, u think it be noisy? and will the vibrations fuck with the fishes??? i know it sounds kind of crazy but it could be a stress factor to the fishes no??

i mainly get pain in my neck working so i thought a aquarium might help me ease up while i relax and the computer is freezing vsts or redending, any ideas?

is this a bad idea? it's going to be away from the electronic equipment, also would it cause any acoustic problems??? 55 gallon tank... im sure this gotta be the most weird
post on here but i really would like one in the studio and felt perhaps it just might not be a good idea what u guys think? thumbs up or down

As to the reflection of sound, glass is not very good to have in a studio as it's surface is hard and smooth, meaning it will reflect a lot of sound.

I doubt the water would create an additional effect on the sound in your given room, and depending on how loud you run your system it might fuck with the fishes...

I have a room with a window where I can see lots of green and it is great to sometimes look out and take a break.

As to the pain in your neck I would try to buy myself a chair that makes you feel more comfortable?

That said fishes do look nice and relax... I don't know man...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

yeh man fishes do look nice and relax, I just might have to settle with a big monitor and this-
http://www.dreamaquarium.com/

obviously not the same as real fish but if im going to have more headaches of acoustic issues i guess so much for the aquarium in the studio idea, or i just might get a betta in there instead of a 55 gallon tank,
thanks for the input anyways mate.

I had a betta in my room with my studio for awhile. It definitely caused enough stress on the fish to kill it, however it was on a surface that was in direct contact with one speaker....and I make dark trance

so im guessing if i have the betta in the studio have him far from the speaker, do this vibrations cause stress? also i got dogs, is my music, fucken up my dogs ears? i just started thnking about all this not too long ago, im starting to feal bad for the lil guys, though they never complain or whine they actually wag their tails... i like having my boy dog around when i work on music he's a pitbull and he sits underneath me with his head on my feet, really great dog, his name is buddy man oh man he's been the best studio companion.
am i hurting him? honestly... i normaly play at reasonable volumes for me but what i about him, he does have more sensitive ears, anyways im sure some us have pets in the studio chillen like cats and im sure you'd like to know if ur actually fucken him up, even though they seem to be chillen... id also hate to have him away as i make music alone till the sunrises that gets lonely, am i being selfish

upavas i took ya advice, look what i found freaking awesome man - http://www.aeronchair.com/

but the price makes me cry
$949 i know its perhaps one of my most best investements but $949 at the moment is impossible for a chaair, even though this be great since i do graphic design aswell which means even more time in front of the computer...
this is really something important for both the young and older crowd here, we got to take care of our back, neck, wrist
best regards

as for the fish. I think they don't care about the sound if they are behind a THICK glas somewhere, where there isn't a peak of a standing wave in the room.
As for the glas... others have windows.. you have an aquarium. it's not good, but its like a window.           Most of my music for you to download at:

Freshwater - Yes
Tropical - Yes but be nice
Marine - The equipment is louder than any CPU.

Personally I reckon a tank of discuss is enough relaxation and inspiration for anyone, but don't look at them for too long or you'll end up making new age ambient stuff.

if you open the door and the dog leaves the room you know that he dont likes the sound.

i dont think you need 1000$ for a chair...
pay 15$ http://www.bodymarkt.ch/catalog/images/sitzball.jpg ill get one too, those are great for your back.

but your gear shows that you have enough of money.

cool cat man it looks like it like to chill in the studio hehe, ur right though having a aquarium is similiar to having windows, and as i have already one window this can pose a bigger problem, what if i was to put the aquarium behind me and have some big as diffusors... would that help out? i dunno i think im better off forgeting that idea even though id really like to. and if theres a way that wont fuck up my room then cool.

soulfood: I agree 100% that saltwater is loud as fuck! so thats out of the question i was stick more fancy goldfish, orandas, ryunku, Koi... and yeh discuss would be fucken awesome but for one they are super expensive fishes and they are extremely picky of temperatures sounds like throwing money out of the window, i dont mind new age ambient stuff actually hahaha so discuss be cool, theres alot of good newage out and you can learn alot from that genre, i hope you realize this try cris spheeris, i actally think he's one talented producer very lovely music with weaving melodies, its electronica mixed with etnhic i find that appealing to my taste.

orgytime: are u serious thats gonna help?
LOL looks funny man but if u say so i'll look into it, anything to relieve some pain.
Im not rich or anything Orgytime I've just worked really hard to get what i got, and a chair that is worth a shit load in my opinion is very worth it even though it sucks to pay that much for a chair but if it increases your work flow and helps you work longer hrs and prevent physical harm in the long run why not. We all tend to forget the most important stuff and then when shit hits the fan we feel it. its not going to happen overnight but let the years creep on you, you'll feal it especially if your on a cpu 14 hrs a day every darn day.. its time to spent big bucks on a supreme chair.
