get your hands on mini jack - mini jack cable and just hook your SC output to it's input, click record, profit?

Agreed - but I am slack and cannot be bothered with fiddling around with cabling setting the level yadda yadda, I know, I know - I am SLAck.

should be possible to route internally,
i have a saffire too, are you using mixcontrol software? if so there is a section in the lower right portion of the GUI called "Loopback 1&2". if you set DAW1 & DAW2 to these, all streamed audio will appear on the LAST set of inputs you have.
i have a saffire pro14, so it appears on channels 7/8. Then i set up ableton to record from these channels and viola!

it was very easy before i got a soundcard! just record from stereo-mix in volume control panel (or update drivers to even get a stereo-mix) (WIN7) |

That is not possible on the Saffire LE to the best of my knowledge, certainly, it is not an option in the control software for the Saffire LE. It is the only frustration I have with the card, everything else is beyond reproach.

| Our Stereo Mix Plus fixes this issue. By adding a virtual audio card on Windows 7/8/Vista, Stereo Mix Plus uses its own sound card driver to wrap your real sound card, then the driver of Stereo Mix Plus opens its recording module from driver to let you record 'what your hear' sounds, which bring back the old stereo mix feature. You still can hear sounds because Stereo Mix Plus will redirect all the sounds to your real sound card automatically.
Since Stereo Mix Plus is a virtual audio card, it works for ALL sound cards. |
