I just discovered this awesome site and I already see tons of events I missed out on  . Well I'd like to introduce myself to all you crazy trippers, you can call my Hazzy or Haz for short, I'm from California and am currently living in the beautiful county of Santa Cruz. I'm a big Infected Mushroom fan but I've only had the chance of seeing them once @ cyberfest in SF. Boards of Canada are also one of my favorites. I've been to a couple parties in Big Sur (monterey) put on by Straylight, but overall I really haven't been exposed to enough underground trance. If you all have any suggestions for some listening to start out with, please post some of who you'd consider the hottest artists out there today. I'm really a psytrance kind of guy, but I've been getting into psychedelic ambient and downtempo as well. Sadly I missed out on the event in Big Basin because I didn't hear about it until now. Bah. I won't make the same mistake twice, this place seems to be up to date on all the trance happenings around the world. Sweet site... |

1. Constantly check and search the 'promo' section. You will find some interestin mixes and stuff.
2. Ask your frnds to drown you in different types/genres of psytrance/psyambient/dub etc..
3. Read the reviews in the Review section about albums and choose which one appeals to you.
4. Also start becomin a regular visitor to www.psyreviews.com
5. Buy albums from www.psyshop.com
www.saikosounds.com
www.trance-shop.com
6. Check the radio stations that have been promoted here.
... Basically, you have to learn what 'your' choice is. It might be different from what i might suggest or what anyone else might. Only way u learn is by hearing a bunch of stuff.

Cool thanks peeps. I've listened to plenty of GMS already, I was actually lookin for a really cool GMS Vs. Spacetribe song but never found it. Aaaanyways, thanks for the welcome and I'll definitely look into these sites/artists. |

There is a GMS vs Spacetribe song on the Pressure compilation by Spun Records. A pretty good full-on compilation, you might wanna look for it at the online music shops.
