I don't have a MIDI instrument... Can i make some music? How to start?

I'm pretending to do some music and don't have the money to buy an instrument... Can i have some tips from you to start my "journey"? i have cubase and FL Studio, but i realize that the first need a MIDI keyb. and second don't but i don't hear good things about it...Am i right? I'm lost...

both cubase and FL studio are great, in their own different ways. either will make fantastic tracks with some effort, and both together...even better!
you dont NEED a midi keyboard , unless you are desperate to play in melodies or whatever. you can enter notes with your mouse or computer keyboard or whatever instead if you want. obviously not as immediate or musical as using a keyboard but unless you've got piano training you're unlikely to be very sharp using that method anyway.
your first step is to get hold of some virtual instruments (synths/ samplers).
there are a zillion threads about this already so have a search.
