i think more people need to know about music from the bastard www.touchsamadhi.com. look for him to be playing out at events soon.

alex aka bastard is a really good friend of mine, but that aside i think he has very quality sound and unique style.

I don't know many american artists, but from what I know Bluetech is divinal. His music is from Heaven.           I don't know, but I've been told, if you keep on dancing you won't grow old.

Nik and Sam were swiss living here on visa's
Max grew up and went to school here.

i did forget to mention Deeper in Zen earlier as well. Jame's is music is quite good
and to second devotees, Bastard is good, as well as the tunes that Kri has been making as well

Jirah- Great music to wake up in the mornin to.

Bluetech - Chilled out. Long night and need to unwind, look no further.

Penta - 'Dark Goodies' as was mentioned. One of the leading, upcomin artist at the moment.

my top 5 would be:
1) Penta(a great mix of the dark and the full-on, very professional production most of the time)
2) Mubali(crunchy darkness, looking forward to a full length soon!)
3) Fractal Cowboys(TWISTED... these guys make some crazy music)
4) Chromatone(killer sound... has some collaborative tracks out soon on Mechanik Castle compilation from Mechanik Sound. This guy is movin on up...)
5) Ocelot aka Vector Selector(has a great full-length out on Ceiba records from a while back... the new tracks I've heard burn up the dancefloor)

honorable mention... Initialization String from right here in Texas... they play a techy style of trance reminding me somewhat of X-Dream, I bet the Germans would eat up their sound...

artist I haven't heard yet and would love to: Bodhi Sattva 13:20, Kri(produced tracks)

as you can see the scene here in the US is very concentrated to the west coast and specifically California(everyone I have named here resides in Cali, cept for Init String).. There are some very good dj's spread all over the rest of the US though. some worth mentioning are Paradigm(Cali), Amanda(Cali), DiMiTri(Colorado), Kri(North Carolina), Blue Spectral Monkey(North Carolina), DJ dragon(Mississippi),

My personal top 5... In no order...

1.) BohdiSattva 13:20 excellent mental psytrance producer from San Diego. http://www.trufflerecords.com
His music is beyond insane... One of my personal inspirations

2.) Ghreg on Earth- I can't begin to say how much I really love Ghreg's stuff. He is definitely a force to be reckoned with and is one of the few US artists to get releases on international labels.

3.)Fractal Cowboys- These guys make Psychotrance. They see an envelope and make it a point to push it till it breaks!

4.) Ocelot{or Vector Selector}- Aaron has been making music for such a long time, and his music is downright amazing. He is going to go a long way...

5.) Chromatone- This man is a wizard when it comes to sound and making stuff sound clean and crisp. His music has recently taken a turn toward the more intense side of things and I couldn't be happier... I am hoping some of his infinite production wisdom will rub off on me.

Now there are so many more that I haven't mentioned, but since I was asked only for 5... That's what you will get. Don't count the US out in the psytrance music industry. There are a few labels out here and scores of incredible artists that nobody has really heard of. {We need another US compilation like American Rotation}
