Onnomon - very unique blend of progressive layering with full on sounds. incredible live set. juse released an album on soular records.
The san francisco underground sound
Ocelot - what one would call DARK psychedelic madness.
Mubali
Gregh on Earth (phosphene)
Fractal Cowboys
and of course penta- but hes russian...living in the states.
Dark funky goodies.

Penta is as much American as he is Russian, imo.. hasn't he been living here for many years? not sure what he considers himself to be, tho.
Quadra, Penta, Onnomon, Ocelot, and Grehg On Earth get my vote. Fractal Cowboys for Honorable mention.

Quadra (nuff said)
Chromatone (best and cleanest production quality in the US)
Sirius Isness (yes Max is originally from Santa Cruz ca, and a US citizen )
