Who here has been to and enjoyed a foam party....I've been to one and its was fun but i assume it could be better....so who enjoys them and who doesnt and why are there never any good artists performing at them anymore. Thanks.

i have been to one during when i was a freshmen in college... in cancun.....
never heard of a psytrane foam party though.

Me too.. In Cancun durin spring break a coupla years ago..
Was ok.. In a psytrance party cud be dangerous if u know what i mean >.

Foam parties are awesome, but for a psy trance party it might not be the best idea, certain people on certain substances can easily drown,mmmK?

Uh, forgive my ignorance but what the hell is a foam party? Does it involve mass quantities of foam(as in bubbles)..like some kind of gigantic free-for-all bubble bath with music? Or is it more along the lines of a that "funloving gasoline fight" scene in Zoolander...only with foam instead of gas? Someone please enlighten me!

What is a FOAM PARTY?
A foam party is the best thing since someone invented the nightclub.
Allthough the idea of dancing away and then having thousands of gallons of foam sprayed and poured all over you until you are covered to neck height may sound a bit wierd or even horrible and messy the reality is that it is the greatest and most enjoyable, fun thing to be added to a disco.
You might think foam is made from water and soap, so I am going to get all cold and wet and sticky. Not so, although you clothes will get damp you will not feel cold when you are in the foam, it will keep you warm.
Normally at a Foam Party the foam will not start for a few hours to let everyone get in party mood. Then the foam machine or foam cannons are turned on covering everyone with foam and filling the dance area to about 5 foot deep. the foam cannons usually spray a thick jet of foam upto 8m into the dance area, they are moved side to side to cover everyone. A foam machine will just pour masses of foam down onto the dance floor, it may move along slowly.
After the foam level has dropped more foam will be added covering everyone up again. This may happen several times depending on how quick the foam goes. Towards the end of the party as the foam level drops to about 1 foot or so some people will spend time rolling around on the floor.
The foam will vary from party to party, some will have quite light and fluffy foam while others will be thicker and some will be very thick. The thicker foams will cling to you more and will probably last longer.
The most important thing about foam parties is that everyone who goes to one has loads of fun and enjoys the experience, however crazy it sounds! If you haven't tried it at least once you haven't lived and should find the nearest one to you and get in there and have fun.

so i know taste is subjective so i apologize in advance- but (&*^@$*&^(*@^()*&*%^ that sounds like my worst nitemare ever!!!!!!! maybe EVEN worse than my arch nemesis THE ANNOYANATOR (a traveling fog machine/siren/strobe light thing that is stalking a dancefloor near you!!!!!)

Lil ppl Fuck'm... Natural Selection 
I have been to several of these in Spain. To tell you the truth I had a blast. Sometimes the foam covered me and it was interesting to meet ppl thoughtout the night as you blindly bump into them. Bring a swimsuit... you will get soaking wet!! And have some dry clothes in the car + towels... if not you will freeze. Not a good night to get those gala clothes out. They will be destroyed.
I survived and I went back for more. They had them here in Miami, but been there done that. I prefer an evil party in North Cal |

Thanks for the quick response Jewbacca. I briefly checked that website and am pretty sure I get the whole foam party thing now. And I have to totally agree with Mistress of Evil. IMO, it sounds pretty lame and looks like something I too could hate as much at the Annoyanator! The whole bubbles, bikinis and foam-disco combination sounds like an incredibly cheesy meat-market gathering for the horny and easily amused. I can see why most guys might like it tho;) As for this girl, if I ever stumbled into one by accident, I would wish for a quick and painless death-by-foam(I`m only 5`2) to put and end to my misery. Haha! I`ll just let natural selection take its course!
Btw, I meant nothing personal against foam party lovers..was just giving my 2yen about the parties themselves!

whoa... I think it would give me a rash... atleast that's what happened after GWAR. That was 10 years ago so there's probably been advancements in foam tech |

memory i have of a foam party in florida during spring break is seeing some drunk dude throw up onto my friend who was in a bathing suit only.
apart from that, they are horrible

Anyways i went to a foam party on my 18th B-day acouple years ago, And i remeber it was fun! but i went mostly cause of my gf, Then me and my mates drove 3 hours to the woods in the spring in the morning, I was all soaked and it was cold cold cold as hell! so there i was freezing my ass off, for 3 hours in a car soaked... So it was horrible, Meanwhile..
All turned out great in the morning as i got to Dry off in the sun to Menog, Astrix, and paranormal attack, so it ended up well |
