Hi all,
after an Ozora full of musical influences and ideas I didn`t touch my studio at all for 2 weeks, only to explode in the most productive two evenings I have ever enjoyed in my short production career. The result of that creative outburst is the track below, I would describe it as very deep and hypnotic trance, doesn`t really have anything to with psy, but trancey it is for sure. The track is called -" Fiebertraum" (translation "Fever Dream"), because thats what it sounds like IMHO
This is a rough draft of the track, so any feedback is welcome (BTW, except Battery, the Sylenth bassline and the Klaus Kinski samples I made the entire track with Omnisphere. I love you, Fat Eric )

Has potential but the bass ruins it for me. It don't like the bassline nor the bass timbre. Also some synth sounds are way over the top and a few are out of pitch. I would also add some percussions here and there, there's practically nothing else except hihats and snare.
Cheers.
Peace, Love, Death metal

My personal view:
I liked this much.
Context wise, personally,if you gonna use pump\wobbley bass, make it longer (unless that is what its LFO setting is,then maybe you should compress it?Its just sound like its pop up and dissapearing quickly).Or anything, just give it more presence I think.
The percussions, for this type of track I think percussion in "space" would suit it much, put more reverb and delay percussions to give it more that "dreamy" feeling".
More "organic" sounds-sea,birds,rain,wind,that kind of thing.
Anyway,I enjoyed that very much, not something I can say a lot in this section .
From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

Thanks for the feedback guys
@diskonekt: I was trying for something different with the bassline, kinda merge a wobble bassline with a pumping prog bassline. I myself am torn on it, sometimes i really like it, sometimes i don`t. One thing is certain, though, it needs some work. About the synths, the way over the top hoover synth is totally on purpose and I love it. It ties the track together (like the Dudes rug, hahaha) and i like the contrast to the generally pleasant atmosphere in the track. I noticed the out-of-pitch synth as well and will change it, and with the percussion you certainly have a point, there is none except HH and Snare
@Axis: Thanks, now I just need to acquire the skills to translate the ideas into reality
@jekvan: Thanks, I`m glad you like it Funny that you mention the spacey percussion, because when I first arranged the track i had very spacey percussion, but changed it afterwards to the more normal type you hear now. I guess I`m just gonna have to revamp the entire groove section, K/B and percussion, everything on top I`m quite happy with.
