He's not making music anymore under the name Huopatossu Mononen, now he's new (if i can call it that way) project called Egosentrifug.

He also made a remix of a Shiwa 2000 track which gonna be released on their new album "Runkmeditation & Perstantra".

Yes the old ones was better but thats almost a "law" in the trance scene that the olds are always better than new ones.
Any way i personally like it too, comparing to all the bullshit coming out this days its better than nothing.
And the live set at freakdance is half Huopis half Egosentrifug and quite old so i think it rocks, very groovy melody set. "My single one to cross the ways that have heart, any way that has heart. Hehe  I'll comment on this briefly:
I still make some Huopatossu tracks with Impulse Tracker every now and then, not just very regularly. I have my old computer running IT2 again (didn't have it for a long time) so I've done a couple of tunes. It's fun since it's been a while. Two new tracks are on the top of this page:
