Well here's mister needs webspace

Nice sounds you got there. bassline gets a bit boring after a while, it needs more variation and breaks. I like your stereofield and your efects & voicesamples. Mix looks ok to me, maybe the synths should be a little more upfront.

cheers!

New mix with bassline additives, some crunchy breaks and a bit more synth-spread on top re: feedback.

*groan*

No matter what I am doing it seems that my basslines get lost in the mix. :-(

Any advice ?

Pavaka, thank you !

You know, you think you've read every post but then someone comes along and points out something amazing that you missed.

Seperated my mix into three stems: Kick+Bass and Synths and Drums+Percussion -> Slapped a HiPassFilter on the last two and ran some tasteful automation on them to bring some warmth when needed.

Voila - I can suddenly _hear_ my mix!!

Only problem is now I can hear my _whole_ mix so excuse me while I go and remix everything!

Yeah, it's better Now I was more focused on other stuff happenning. I love the way you overuse voicesamples! Totally my style! Create your own story

Sometimes a story needs telling... 'specially here in Cape Town lately... :-P

Anyway - I've now finished remixing - ended up throwing out the kick drum as well as redoing the bass patch in the process. (Quadrafuzz rocks

Final mix is here:

Enjoy, and thanks again for all the feedback!

Access Virus TI going into a lightly tweaked Quadrafuzz 'Fuzz Bass' preset going into Waves L1 @ about -3db attenuation w/ 100ms release.

The main elements of the patch are:

. Vanilla Saw wave on OSC1
. Saw w/ ~33% pulse on OSC2 +1 octave - synced
. Mix 90% OSC1 10% OSC2
. 5% Sub OSC (Square)
. 4 Pole LP Filter at ~40% w/ ~10% Reso
. Env Amt at 50%
. Amp Env: A 0 D 30 S 64 R 15
. Filt Env: A 0 D 15 S 70 R 10
. Teensiest bit of phaser
. Teensy bit of HP filter

Thanks for listening!
