ever since i succesfully connected my tv to the sound card, i have been getting a low level buzzing humm , independant of volume as long as the input is plugged in...
is this normal?
the recording comes out without it... so its just some static im picking up... but from where? and why? how can i stop it without having to unplug each time?

I have to agree with parapsyched... otherwise, try muting the line-on on your soundcard, or atleast the one which is connected to your soundcard.           To hell with reality! I want to die in music, not in reason or in prose. People don't deserve the restraint we show by not going into delirium in front of them. To hell with them! - Louis-Ferdinand Céline

Could be ...
But what hz is the humming at? If it's 50hz then there's an electrical interference... It could even be a lose wire ...

The best of luck           ________________________
