HI
There are many interesting books out there..interested in sharing your opinions and experiences ?
I am currently reading the "Da Vinci Code" by DAn Brown.it is very entertaining and makes u think about what it says,if it could b true or not.
I would further suggest "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Tompson (R.I.P)
"ON THE ROAD" BY jACK cEROUAC
, "the Alchemist" by paulo Couelo
and the "Vampire Lestat" (if ure into that kinda stuff  ) by Anne Rice

Hmm, yes i woder if it will be off topiced, but i dont know, books are good maybe an exception will be made mr CHP?
Anyways as im going fantaros on tusday, my sister gave me the Da Vinci Code to read, so im glad u enjoyed it, i hope it will give me something to do.
Im sure poeple out there can suggest books that are psy trance related (not just drug related i.e. fear and loathing)

Hunter Thompson is dead ?? wow , i didnt know that, he has written a lot of great stuff, fiction and non fiction (politics,etc).. i heard the "rum diaries" would get a movie also, would be great- book is kickass...
Aldous Huxley is one guy u should definately check, "brave new world" - "island" - "after many a summer" - "brave new world revisited" - "eyeless in gaza", and of course "the doors of perception and heaven and hell", hey i think those are like psychedelic culture gems, he is my favourite writer and i think one of the best english writers of the century...
You should check greg egan, "diaspora" is one of the books also translated to greek (i dont know of a translation of any other of his books), dont remember which publicing house though, heavy science fiction, very psychedelic i would say.
ps.there was a book called "disco biscuits" some years ago published by Ekdosis Oksi, it is funny when you read this book, it has many things related to parties in the short stories it includes... |

The most dark psychedelic book I have ever read is ''Naked Lunch''(Gymno Geuma, Ekdoseis Apopeira) by William Burroughs.

@nikos s: Yes Huxley is highly recomended. I enjoyed reading Disco bisquits as well but that was 5-6 years ago. I think that nowadays it would get me pissed in many ways
Arthur C. Clarke's Space Odyssey is also a classic.

The best!!
i love reading.. literature, comics, stories, newspapers anything.
Now I am close to finish the Da Vinci Code...really interesting..
However I cannot propose sthg, i really believe that also books are subject to each one's likes and deslikes!!! For example I found "letter to an unborn child" of Oriana Falatsi really interested when somobdoy else might find it a bit boring!!!!

Yes the man killed himself  ... Rum diaries is in post production stage i think , Johny Depp again as the main character (Hunter S. Thompson)
