Hey...
I was wondering about the Yamaha RM1x sequence remixer for my first instrument?
Currently im` using only my PC with wave sampels (Rebirth, Acid pro` & soundforge) and I want to move on to hardware...Ppl keep telling me to buy a synth` but the Yamaha seems like an exellent choice! What can a synth` at the same pricerange do better..?

You can use synths with a PC sequencer. The RM1x shouldn't be your first piece of hardware (although I played with it at Kley Zemer and it's so cool :)). You should start with a synth. If you like Yamaha stuff, get the CS6x or the CS2x (cheaper).

rm1x is really good to make general draft of your track, also you can make some nice drum patterns, then you can transfer all of it into cubase and make it sound even better, by adding other synths patters. The sounds are pretty generic, but if you really creative you can make them sound good with effects. thats what i do, check it out at

I think that Yamaha RM1x would be
very good FIRST Hardware sequencer
for you.
you will learn very much from it
and its cheap!
