Hows the scene going these days in USA?

Hi guys, Im from sao paulo, brazil, and i was curious about the fact the number of americans in the forum got so big, thats a reflex of todays situation there? is it growing in a good way or am i wrong?

we are definetly growing but alot of us also have a big mouth so we might seem more then we actually are.
seriously though, this is a real tight board, we went from being a joke to one of the coolest sections in Isratrance. I am really proud of the way things have shaped up here in America the past year or two.

I agree with Apocalypse, although there is a huge diffrence between west cost USA and east coast... right now in my opinion, west coast trance vibes and energy are in the right place, maturing prospering and growing.... The east coast is a whole diffrent story(New York City specifically), much politics, much bad energy, much unprofessionalism and mafia attitude by some. I'm really saddend by this, especially since P.L.U.R. means nothing to some people here, they are missing out on the real vibe, a vibe that can be really magical and pure. I understand that Cananda is having some troubles too with montreal showing up signs, but Toronto on the wain. Hopefully things can start to pick up again there and i know Southeast USA is growing and becoming a force too.

Well its not the states but since Canada was mentioned... I don't feel we have any damn problem at all, here in Toronto. We can't get the crowds out for the big acts, but is that really such a loss? We've got fantastic underground parties, a tight network of friends and enthusiasts, and the first inkling of music production and record label releases are starting to trickle out...
Ah, sigh... I wish people weren't so down on our scene... I've got such a positive view of it nowadays, but I've always been into the small-scale scene as opposed to super-clubs and giant raves. The vibe is warm up here on the 'north coast'

I think its growing and maturing.. in due time I think it will be big in America... which is a good thing in my views... It has its ups and downs.. LA for instance didnt have any parties for a while and now all of a suden its taking of into OuterSpace. In NY I went for one party last year which was with Phantasm and it was a GREAT one... So Its definatly alive and kicking... just not as mainstream and out there like other places.. |

the outdoor parties in the san francisco area are some of the best in the world. they bring acts like grapes of wrath, neuromotor, Insane behaviour, Droidsect, Metaloids, Psyside, Full color, xenomorph, and have Goa gil parties twice a year.
not to mention an indoor scene as well.

i think, due to the state of politics in america, it is harder to pull off a giant festival. just look at what happened to fusion last year.
at the same time, there are a few coming up this summer.... Omni Dance Fest in New York, Gaian Mind Fest in PA, one in Portland in July by (i think) Apollo's Lute....

Very nice to see you writting here ! the scene in florida almost doesn't exist but we are working to make it , look the topic The flower of life - party in miami. this party will be very nice, crazy fluor decoration and the organizers are working hard to give a chance of psy trance lovers near miami, tampa and others city to enjoy something different.

SF bay area is alive and insane. Outdoor parties here push the limits of insanity and indoor parties do as well. I'm not sure if the number of people listening to psy trance is increasing but the energy and enthusiasm toward the music certainly is!!!!!

Oh its sad down here in Georgia.
I think I'm one of about 4 or 5 DJs who play psy in the whole state. There's me...Michael Curran, DJ Moksa, DJ Invisible, XB (who doesnt play anymore) that's about it as far as I know. Psy events here are almost nonexistent. But I like to think that every non-psy event I play at, maybe I hook one person. That's at least something.
