Mostly sexual bribes, but we take money too.
Seriously - people contact us and offer their help. We usually only take users that have been members of the forum for some time and have been supportive and productive members. We look for people who share the site's spirit and believe in it. We discuss the new appointment among us and then, if we have a vacancy that fits that user, we do the match.
Also, we sometime switch between moderators when they ask for, or add / remove some of their sections on their / our decision.
I think that sorts of answers the Q, no?
