Also dont forget cubase used to run on the atari platform and unless your talking about the late 70s early 80s there were digital hardware sequencers around. |

Steinberg brought out Pro 12 for the Atari in the mid 80s; I wrote my first track using Pro 24 in 1986, and Cubase came out not too long after, although it didn't make it to the PC until the early 90s. Before that people in the UK were also using BBC, Commodore 32/64 and (although not so much) Sinclair Spectrum microcomputers to write simple electronic music.

and I had Commodore 64 ( Borris it is my sad duty to inform u that the 64 has beaten the holy crap out of the Spectrum ) and after I changed to Amiga, which was most amazing and I am quite sorry till now that Mac won the market and killed Amiga, cuz imo it was just many times better than the Mac.

Yeah, Amiga ruled! Yuli, weren't you active on the Amiga demoscene by any chance? Did you write music in ProTracker?
