i just want to have ideas of you set up your strings in a song composition,!! ...
i would like to know about the ideas,doesnt matter how small coudl be to you, i would like to realize!!... thanks! |

If you want a convincing-sounding string section it's important to know a bit about orchestration and the range of each instrument. I tend to plan ahead and work out how big my virtual string section is - how many 'players', which instruments - and then write a line for each 'player'. Eg. you might have double-basses, cellos, violas and 1st and 2nd violins for a large string orchestra, or you might have a much smaller group of strings eg. cello, viola and 2 violins for a traditional quartet; writing an appropriate line for each instrument will make your strings sound much more like an orchestra than if you just play block chords. This works really well for brass too.
