In this audio there are 2 sounds, basically same timbre, first one with long verb please help me out if you identify the timbre, second with some fx i cannot tell... that what makes it sound like underwater, what is it? filter delay? phaser? have used both and can't emulate it.

Seems like a pretty simple chord but can't get my synths to sound similar, it features a vowel like sound, or something that makes it very special, at least to me.

Gratitude in advance to those who may help.

Could the last sample be with a reverse style effect?

I use a VST called Backman, which plays the audio/midi backwards in sync with your project tempo...

oh, there is also vst Spaceman, it plays all notes in random so you can not control anything. most psytrance producens use it and they suceed and they have from 2 to 5 coments on post here and it is succes.

The right side is low passed, the left side is high passed.

You could make 2 exact sounds in your synth, then send one to a lowpass filter panned all the way to the right, and send one to a highpass filter panned all the way to the left.

Envelope opens up the filters - maybe those are opposite as well - but the decay should be pretty tight to get it to sound like the sound is squeezing through hard, sustain probably close to zero, play with release.

big reverb epicreverb is good and free

notes : f# minor something I'm bad with chord name extensions. two or three octaves of f#, then in the higher octave g# and a

edit * then the whole thing is high passed obviously-forgot to put that in          www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

Very nice observation Obelizk, thanks... i am gettin closer. Seems to be a saw on a BP filter. Now with your comment i'm starting to believe it used a parallel filter synth.

BTW can you confirm it is a F# chord?

Also about the "underwater" fx im am gettin closer with LFO to LP filter and delay send... any other ideas?

it's a f# minor, but you can't really tell all the notes that are being played because there's tons of harmonics. There's definitely f# and a notes definitely, there might be a g#

I tried using a formant filter on the reverb send too, sounds pretty funny

You could try using formant filter over the whole thing instead of a highpass. You could also layer 2 reverbs, but that would probably just require tons of tweaking.

Also, on the main synth, there's a couple detuned voices to give it more 'underwateryness'           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

The lowpass could catch the mids, or the highpass could just turned off the volume on one speaker, then vice versa with the other speaker to see what each side sounded like.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page
