well.. there is a way, if there`s a stereotrack you can make it a monotrack, and just keep the sound in the middle and cut away the wider.. but first you have to phase reverse one of the "sides" of the stereotrack i think.. long time since i did it..

kind of that way people cut vocals for kareoke...

or theres a plugin in soundforge that can make a "print" of a signal.. lets say, take a piece of the track you`re gonna cut without vocals and then apply it to the part you wanna cut out...

And another one is Waves Noice Reduction... there`s a preset in it that cuts away all but vocals.. just tweak til youre satisfied..
