Well, speaking as a didg player, a lot of what is going on is kind of subtly complex, in a way. You've got the dominant tone, but underneath that you've got vocalizations interacting with/modulating that tone, in addition to complex effects on the timbre by various tongue positionings or variations in mouth shaping.

So yeah, to get something kind of 'realistic' you'd need the fundamental tone (maybe a sawtooth like suggested?) then probably some other things layered underneath. Maybe some formant filter over another saw with some complex LFO work modulating the pitch of saw2.

As far as the more subtle stuff, the mouthwork as it were, I'd try some modulations on top of everything, maybe some chorus or subtle flanging, constant variation on parameters, perhaps in a rhythmic fashion.

Dash of delay and reverb on top.

this is exactly what i did
sounds like real synthesis and not just mess with it like crazy until you get close.

what is hard is to add the high pitch notes of the didge.should be another sidechained chanel of that phoooo           http://soundcloud.com/magimix-1/chilling-forest-whispers
