I´ve been thinking about if there´s any ways
to speed up music producing and i´ve come up with this. Make loops within fruity loops and export these loops and arrange them in cubase ( i believe cubase is better for arranging songs.Any other suggestions?

Organize your sound library. Make banks of patches you make and presets you like. Also start building your own sample library into categorized folders. This approach has helped me a lot personally.           StarLab - Label DJ/Artist for Digital Om Productions

inspiration is what really speed up the process to me, it dictacte how fast it progress ,not much the workflow. if you have everyhting well organized ect.. you can do loops .. it s still how inspired you are at that time that matter..

first you need lot of time to know your tools inside out, taking time to experiment ect..

Structure your tasks.

Usually you'll have to do just about everything, but there should be time for practicing, time for exploring, time for recording, time for producing, time for mixing, etc. Define how you want a certain track to be made, what tasks it needs and in which order, and than try to stick with it.
I believe this helps moving on in work and getting things done.           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

+1 on key commands it really can speed things up

So as some mentioned the own sample libary, I lately wanted to make my own fx sample folder with zaps and other lfo stuff, but when I drag an audio clip from ableton into a folder(in ableton folder view), several sub folders are created and this for every sound when you drag it into a folder, so is there a way to quickly export a sample into a folder without such subfolders and stuff, because for me it was to annoying to delete 3 subfolders everytime in order to have the sample in the same folder as others           https://soundcloud.com/noordzee-laborant

most of my inspiration comes when im pissed of or i want to get shit of my chest

i try (and without rushing off to hug trees) to turn all my negative energy into a positive and creatful thing
.........or get pished!

speeding up workflow,.......i would have to go with key commands and a template , ready to go
......and yes they ALL do it

knowing your tools. This goes hand in hand with having a limited amount of tools.

I would suggest to limit yourself to one DAW and a handful of plugins and learn the SHIT out of them. Hours and hours and hours. See what you can accomplish and wring out of those small amount of tools and only integrate new gear/plugins slowly and only once you've fully digested what you have access to already.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

What everybody said basicly, shortcuts, templates, organized samples/banks/HD and DAW, basically efficient spot on housekeeping.

Took me month to organize everything and once i did it, saw the light, for some things went too far and complicated just to save like 15 seconds in future, but it saves whole day sometimes.

Changed few DAW's over time and can say that you must find the "one", there is no point struggling in environment that holds you down, if you have need to bounce something to other DAW and make some stuff in another, you are in wrong one for sure…..sure you can learn how to ignore some nuances, but some nuances is basically what is slowing you down….if you are not stuck in one environment, explore the possibilities, take time to find the one that brings the most out of you, not just settling with your old wife DAW, same old pain and just filling miserable every now and than, occasionally score something memorable

How to speed up music production ?

First question is why ? You want enjoy the process and do it right or just get wild and run to nowhere ?

You can't speed production Because When you are limited .. How all can be fast (And why ? There someone who chase after you ? Someone threaten you ? , Russian oligarch kidnap and torture you ? , Yemeni division is after you .. Demand an attack for a track for the swearing-in ceremony of the new government soon) .

So sit on your butt And work .. Take the time and dont be fat lazy !
(Thats the most important thing With knowing how to speed production) .

Yeah, i hate the feeling of rush, when someone or something is speeding my ass up i dont like that at all, that is the one of the worst feelings in the world

For example imagine when you are planning to catch a certain buss in peaceful schedule and soon you find yourself running to it and finally you will miss it..

Better to take your time, in my opinion.
