Sure it's possible to reduce vocal volume with a phase effect, but is there any tricks to reduce instruments volume instead of vocals? I've got this problem 'cause I'm re-mixing a track, but percussions are too loud. It also happens that istruments I want to remove are on the sides and vocal in the center. How could it be possible to remove anything else than center pan. Is it possible? I've tried to google this.           ""

if vocals are in the center and instruments on the side maybe try m/s decodeing it so you can edit the center and side separatly.           http://soundcloud.com/seamoon

I'm sure you can have fun with all other like bass etc with this method.
Would be really nice if you could do a tutoriL Jizy.

well even if u did m/s encode everything that is mid will still be in the centre eg percs that are mono with stereo reverb, the percs will still remain there with vocals too....
But anyways il will post a mini tutorial shortly...also read this.....
