Please explain better what you want to do..
Do you want to record a sound effect from inside the computer or outside? do you want to record only the dry version of an effect on a synthesizer part? What?

And don't forget to read the manual...           soundcloud.com/supergroover

this is what's known as automation, where you instruct the program to change a parameter with a set of instructions as opposed to moving the parameter in real time yourself.

Usually this is represented as a line. So, you have your delay. You most likely have a dry/wet knob - if its 100% wet you will only get the delay, if its 100% dry you don't get the dely at all.

So if there is a line that represents this, your line starts out at the bottom. Insert a point (double click) at the beginning, and at the end. Raise the point at the end.

I don't use Cubase so this is a general overview of the concept, not a specific instruction.

This is a very, very, very basic inquiry and one that can be answered by reading your manual. Yes, you should do this. Yes, people will bitch at you or not respond to you (most of the time) if you continue to post things like this.           If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe
