I love suomisaundi, but I'm very inexperienced with psychedelic music so I don't really have the imagination to re-create a bassline that sounds good. I've done one decent bass with Sylenth1 but that's as far as my imagination takes me so that's why I'm asking if someone could send me a preset or two so that I could explore them and study : ) I wanna learn to make the music myself, I'd just like if someone could show me examples of what it could look like : )

Okej my scando friend!
What do you use to make sounds and sequence?
If you made one bass with Sylenth i bet you can make more, or is it that you dont understand the parameters?
You see if you are inexperienced you must make your self experienced hehe
So start study and learn the parameters and get more familiar with the tools
As i see it there are easy ways and there are hard ways, sometimes the hard ways pays off way more but not always. and then its the easy way that fits the purpose.
my best advice both for learning and for imagination and creativity is to experiment and play around! Get stuck in loops or Eq hell.
If its just a bass patch you need i think its no problem to upload one.
I will upload one for CronoX 2 and maybe ill do one with Some other synth.
4 patches with noisemaker as bass, first time i tried the synth, its not as clean as CronoX or sharp as Vb1 but it can make a bass and could very well work good, try it out and tweak it, play around with the filter and the envelope controls.
CronoX 2 pacth, i tweaked it from the youtube video but made some own changes to it, mostly just envelop difference, go ahead and tweak further.
Good luck, might send up some other patches if i get time, these are far from well tweaked, but often you tweak a sound as you go so its only starting points...
Btw Eq your self, lowpass a bit and peak dip around 200-500hz to make it more round..
Experiment

presets won't help you. You think they will, but they won't. At least not nearly as much as time spent making your own.
It really, really sucks at first and is very frustrating. Just continue to work at it and see it as a journey in progress.
btw, for a very in depth analysis and explanation of psy bass parameters, look up the psymusic.co.uk forum and look for posts by Speakafreaka...he lays it all out.

Then leave it.
Write another part of the track. Don't let it frustrate you.
And drop the VB-1, it won't get you anywhere.
The secret about basslines is not compression or effects, it's the patch itself and most importantly, the envelopes.

Yes mike im with you .. But i just thought it will not be so nice to say so .. Hehehe (The man tryd so hard) .
Yes , This Vb to old for those days .
Imo you can use others . The new basslines of today giving you some more possibilitys and options to get
an better sound (They are much more 'Friendly' to the users with/in all the parameters) .

Well,I think I'm kinda getting a bit closer...
How that insult for monitors sounds, anything alike ?
It's saw and square layered (basicaly Ive figured that the square wave is "filling" the gaps in saw and making those basslines souns so deep,so I've tried that).
I've used Tau Pro,and trying to use Vanguard instead as well,to get the exact envelope parameters (I don't know where to get sylenth, and I don't really feel to buy it lol)..
Nothing like getting cold stoned to get progress
(Its not normalized or anything,so it can be kinda silent..).

can't listen to it right now, but I'm going to parrot the advice of a much more knowledgeable member:
Until you have the basic Saw wave bass patch sorted, you are going to confuse yourself by attempting to layer saw/square together. All you need for a nice fat bassline is a good Saw wave and the proper filter/amp envelopes.

first off, if its not normalized or anything than you are mixing way too loud. bring kick and bass lower 8-10 db, give them some air. (don't make them louder afterwards, fit every other sound to your kick and bass, not vice versa)
second, the bass isn't so good. i advise you to master single waveform bass before moving to layered basses. just take a saw or a square and try to tweak it out.
third, you are overdoing distortion. now it is sounding really harsh, with lots of ugly harmonics which can bring digital distortion plugins. get rid of any distortion - feel the clean waveform pumping.
fourth, disable any processing, if you have it. you must get really good result which will sound almost as a regular psytrance bass without ANY processing - out of your synthesizer (doesn't matter what synth, btw). if you feel your bass is week - make it louder with volume, not eq. if it is still week - something's wrong with the patch.
general rule - keep it as simple as possible. 1 waveform - 1 filter - 2 envelopes - adjust volume and you are there. if it doesn't sound
good on this step, most likely, you have to turn back and tweak more.
