i made something similar with sylenth (im sure it can be adapted easily)
http://www.mediafire.com/?87ubnrhsm5n4wg7
its a triangle wave (1 voice)
-add s&h lfo to pitch about halfway (tweak rate & depth)
-amp env should be full sustain everything else down
-draw in 1 long note
-i added reverb and distortion
- i also duplicated the synth and transposed it down an 8ve (slightly different lfo settings too)
its basically a load of random pitches (commonly used in sci-fi movies).. i think it could work beter with a well tweaked arpeggiator tho!
peace bro

If you're doing this with sylenth you don't have to use another instance of the synth on a new channel. You could just use Part B of sylenth (use the Copy/Paste buttons to copy your OSC settings easily) and tweak those settings on the second half of sylenth, that way its all in one channel so it'll be easier to resample etc
