Anyone knows how to get the pitch and speed of my kick sweeped up, like you hear mostly in Darkpsy?

It usually goes from 140-something to like 1000 bpm in a matter of seconds and then comes down again.

I guess there are a number of tricks to do this, but what would be the most convenient way of doing this?

if i understood your qestion right, then u maybe want to look at this simple, but very effective tool http://www.sydec.be/Products/Plugins/VST/ID/3f88067f-7104-43a9-af51-222e575bfe01/Tapestop/

export say about 12 bars of the kick track, then import and pitch bend up and up and up until . Just make sure when it kicks back into beat the the last kick is quantized .... OR you can automate your tempo track to up but that might tweak more than whats needed.

sweet hope it's useful

dont know for cubase, but in logic yes...just make a retrigger and automate the speedchange knob           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

also a possibility for cubase:
activate "tempo" and the press strg+t.
there you can automate the tempo...

I'd recomened using glitch. its automatable in cubase. you need to open a midi track in the sequencer that outputs to it.
also look at instajungle which is not as good but can give cool really extreme stuff.           Work like you don't need the money.

one of the best I've tryed is the FASTFX from electronic instruments x2. and you wont need to install Reaktor. they are standalone

the freeeeze FX is what you need.

OFF: smbdy that uses Logic. Please, how to control an FX knobs and paramters using midi channel??? as was described for Cubase. But in Logic, How to make it??

I do it by hand still.

I sequence out where I want the kick drums to fall and how fast I want them to be. This is processed through a pitch shifter that I write a CC# automation for the pitch control.

Another option is a grain sampler in Reaktor. Each time the note retriggers I adjust the playback speed and pitch.           http://www.granularmatter.com

with simple automation, just like the controls of a synth

correct me if I got your question wrong           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

I might have to try some of these other methods... I usually do the audio thing and when I pitch bend, I turn off the time correction... But these other ways look pretty fun..           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Just another thought concerning the methods I have suggested. I also tend to boost the volume as well since I have noticed a drop in volume as the sound becomes higher in pitch. Technically, this could all be accomplished with some really tight Reaktor programming so you wouldn't have to adjust the volume.           http://www.granularmatter.com
