this has been covered you can probably dig up the information in the mother of all threads or on the search feature.
1. get you a frequency to key conversion diagram. you can find it on google images.
2. make the kick and bass either the same root or maybe make one the 5th of the other. i find it easier to stick with the root though because then you run into other problems.
3. you will have to make your own kick or use spectrum analyzing to see where the kick is hitting or a program like melodyne to tune it. i find it easiest to make my own kick in soundforge. like if my song is in A i will make a sine wave at 55hz which is A at a very low tone. then appply pitch down effects. be sure to leave the tail of the kick alone dont let the pitch down effect it or your defeating your purpose of tuning them together. you can also just grab hold of the tune knob on your kick and turn it until it gels with the bass.
Also you can try bussing your bass and kick to a channel and run them through the same compressor that way they both get the same coloring from the compressor you choose. note: not all compressors color the sound for color you want to look at things like waves ssl, URS, compadre, theres a bunch of good compressors out there that will give your sound a nice color or tone.
