I really would give lot for being able to make the sounds I have in my head  And i hope that I will be able to do so at some point...
But at the Moment, when I have sounds in my head, or even part of tunes...in most cases I just don't know how to create them and where to start.
Beacuse of this, all my "work" up to this point was not planned...I just start a tune and see what sounds I can create and how they fit...and fot this its helpful to know how certain kinds of sounds can be made.
As said...I would love to be able to to it the other way, but I guess I'm just too much of a noob still ...well, but as long as it sounds good to me in the end.... |

Difficulty isn't intrinsically linked to creativity though. Some of the most creative people in the world have a very easy time doing it simply because of how their brain is wired. If it takes one person 10 minutes and another 1 hour to make the exact same sound, one won't sound better than the other just because it was harder for one....
Overall I see a lot of people complaining about how psy isn't as good now as it was and how so much sounds the same, but don't see many people doing anything to improve on it. Just sayin... http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

and as for this sound is u don't have a chance
i bet its is a wave(probly saw but could be anything even) that is not synced and the guy exported just one stab then he added obvious reverb(i bet is on another sound) and delay try only recreate the reverb and eq cmon man we can only get near that...put another song and i'm sure that they have the same stab but it sounds a little different
cmon people i can post a sound and u have no way of recreating u can just get near
