Hey everyone. I notice that in big productions you can listen to the drums and they sound so clear, so present.
What good plugins should I insert to get that sound?Distortion?Only compression?

Any help would be greateful.

Cheers

So you're asking for the magic "clearizer" plugin that does it all for you?           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

Watch the Steinberg Internal Mixing DVD's and you will have a better understanding.

I think you would be better off just getting a nice EQ and compressor desperately. Channel strips aren't that useful in electronica (imo)..           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

yes you have to use right samples and if you don t find some ,make them by yourself using roland tr samples, real drums ,drum synth ...layering ,equing...also how everything is mixed togther in the track make a big difference, you might mute everything in a super produced track and just get a snare or a hit hat playing ,it ll sound nothing special .
